Dam Scoping Studies
Shoalhaven Water are responsible for a number of dams which were previously necessary for drinking water, but have since been superseded. Our project sought to explore the future options for three such assets. The options included environmental or recreational use, or whether the assets were surplus to Council’s strategic needs.
The project tackled issues such as how the dams were categorised and the potential long-term use for the dams. For one dam in particular, the project also looked at how the adjoining land used for camping purposes could be more sustainably managed.
We provided an independent review for our client, established a strategy for how the assets would be used over the long-term and identified what the next steps to achieving that use would be.
